What a tragedy. My heart is breaking and my thoughts are with those in CT who are living this nightmare…
There are no words for this morning’s tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. No words, but I want to howl.
Senseless. It made no sense two hours ago, it will make no sense two hours from now, it will make no sense two years from now.
At least 18 children slaughtered, at least 8 more adults who devoted their lives to service for these children, for the community, slaughtered.
There can not be an answer. I don’t care what the talking heads say tonight, tomorrow, next week.
Maybe if I waited to post, I would have more coherent thoughts. I don’t think so. Only this howl.
My heart is breaking for all of those involved.

Yes, no words can express the grief at the losses of those parents and loved ones.
Grief also brings some anger. In both Scotland and in Australia gun laws were dramatically changed in 1996 after similar tragedies to disallow anyone to carry assault weapons. Here is hoping that America has the courage to do the same so that such tragedies can be avoided in the future.

I’m not entirely sure what the answer is but the US has more murders by guns than any other western country.

Yes so heartbreaking makes one wonder why they had to suffer why oh why did he do it…………there are no real answers……..

Yes, I’m sure he does…but losing a child…my heart cries for the parents…how will they move beyond this?

I have no idea. My mother said it was as if a piece of her heart was ripped out and never to mend again.

What is the world coming to? It is sheer insanity! My heart goes to the parents who lost their children and also for the adults who lost their life. It was absolutely sensless.

How does someone pick up the pieces and move forward from something like this? I can’t imagine.

I just don’t know how you move forwards after this. There was an incident in China in a school yesterday too – children, so vulnerable. I can’t imagine either.
