Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world. Same world.
IN MANY WAYS, WE LIVE WITH what we dream and create. Our lives reflect the energy we’ve been putting into them. If we believe people are always out to get us, that is the scenario we unwittingly create and see. If we believe that people are good at heart, that is what we tend to nurture in others and see.
Does that mean if we’ve always believed the world to be hostile, there’s no love in it? Or if we’ve always been loving, there is no hostility in the world? No. But that’s likely what we’re inclined to ‘notice’ more in our daily lives.
One might think that it’s only those who are safe and loved that can see a loving world, but in my experience, it’s often those who are vulnerable and in danger who see the love in the world.
Anne Frank, whose family faced mortal danger, took the time to jot down these words: “I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.”

Way behind on my emails Diana but I am a person who believes in the positives. I don’t watch much of the news though because it never or rarely shows the kinder side of humanity. Generally most people have good in them.

That quote of Anne Frank’s has always resonated with me. Challenging at times to adhere to it, but somehow she did, so we can too. ❤

Trying to show love to our immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers who are living amid uncertainty and fear under the current administration. Many Americans are looking to Canada as a symbol of hope, peace, acceptance … And intelligence.

I choose to see the world full of potential, then loving comes next. Facing a person who dislikes one’s presence, one needs to first see the potential in the person to love.

To have change toward a better world we first must have change toward better people. If we all were to follow two commands: love God first, then love our neighbors second. If we follow the first then the second can’t help but follow.

I believe that most people are good people not just at heart but in life but there are also some who are not good people at all but are just bad through and through but they are rare, rare enough that I have not met any of these people
