“Look up to the sky
You’ll never find rainbows
If you’re looking down.”
– Charlie Chaplin
Do you want to see the rainbow? Is there something missing in your life?
Are you seeking forgiveness for something you’ve done?
Do you long to belong?
Do you wish others were more loyal to you?
Do you struggle to establish trust in relationships?
Do you feel misunderstood?
Do you yearn for acceptance?
If so why not
accept others for who they are?
seek to understand?
demonstrate that you can be trusted?
stick by your loved one in hard times?
invite people into your life in spite of your fear of rejection?
Look up and see the rainbow?
Four things you can do to bring more of what you desire into your life:
- Think about what would make your life more satisfying
- Make a list of your top three desires
- Think about how you could fulfill these in someone else’s life
- Go out and do it
What have you got to lose by trying? At the very least you will have made someone else’s life more beautiful.

Let me ask again.

Sometimes, Diana, it’s all in how we see things – our perspective on life. I love your comment that rainbows “are the promise after the storm.”
There’s a lot of good things happening and, as Ferris Bueller says: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” 😉

A harder thing to see in the big city Kath, but when I get out into the country, I love looking up at the night sky! ❤

I like this. and I like that if we recognize our own wishes, and help someone else achieve them…. wouldn’t we be achieving it as well? And the beauty of it would be in the helping others. And ourselves. 🙂

Yes, Yes, and more Yes ! Brilliant post, Diana. It’s so hard to move forward when you are constantly looking down. As one who has been through a few life storms, I am so grateful to have survived and lived to see that sky full of rainbows ! A huge part of the healing process is being able to step outside your own misery and seek help for others. It is the easiest, best way to personal recovery.
Just lovely, you have a gift for inspiration, Miss Diana. Good on you for using it. ❤️

It has taken a long time but I am happy with who I am and how my life has panned out I chose to try and be happy that doesn’t mean there are not times when I am unhappy because there is but I try to be a good person and treat people how I want to be treated and be happy doing so
