Not ‘fall‘ or ‘jump’ out of my window.
But fall, the season, as seen from my window.
I’ve read so many posts from a handful of you recently about letting go.
Letting go of the outcomes.
Letting go of the things I cannot control.
Going with the flow.
Riding the wave and enjoying the scenery.
So although the end of summer has caused me sadness in the past. Perhaps even had me momentarily thinking about jumping out of my window, I’m gracefully easing into fall this year.
Looking back, it was a great summer.
We had lots of good weather and I spent a great deal of time outside.
Looking forward, I anticipate a good fall.
Discovering ways to enjoy the outdoors, dressing as required to stay warm.
Living in the moment.

Diana … We had a wonderful summer. We visited old friends where we used to live in Central New York, visited a gorgeous state park (Watkins Glen), and got to see my brother in Vegas. It ended all too quickly.
May the winter months be gentle with you and everyone else this year. While I miss “some” of the snow, I recall too well how bitterly cold it gets, the long and scary commutes to work, and the longing for spring.

I love summer. Probably from my teacher world where summer means no schedules. Now, school’s back and my mood has changed. I feel like Thanksgiving will arrive any day!

Fall always feels like a wonderful culmination of the year’s good stuff. A bit wistful as the nights get slowly longer and colder.
Enjoy the golden leafy days, Diana. We need our dreams in the midst of howling winter winds. 🙂

For some reason Fall is my favorite season. I think it’s because I savor every nice day because I know that winter will be here all too soon.

Diana before you know it, it will be spring again and whilst you wait you can come over to mine and Karen’s blogs as we head of the warmer weather, although this very morning there was a thick fog and I was cold. Happy fall to you, it really is a beautiful time of year, and one of my favourites.

Kath, time passes so quickly that I’m stuck between rushing spring, even before it’s winter, and waiting patiently and enjoying the present. I think I will try for the latter. ❤

I love fall but every year I hate when it arrives because I know summer is over and winter is around the corner. This is a great post. It reminds me that I should enjoy fall and not be sad. I had a fabulous summer and those memories will stay with me forever. Why not enjoy the change of the season?

That’s a good way to look at it. I don’t know if you follow Jensine but she had a cool quote about fall on one of her posts. It was something like: Fall is the 2nd spring when leaves turn into flowers… ❤

I like the saying "there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing", so bundle up and get out there (I have to remember to take my own advice). 🙂

I love walking so I am outside all year round. I just enjoy outside more when it’s warm. 😀

I had a fantastic summer, Diana. We had wonderful weather here in Syracuse, and our activities were plentiful and rewarding.
This fall, I plan to dress appropriately, keep my eyes and mind open, and share what I discover with you all. Kind of like this summer, only with more clothes on. And kind of like you, too, my friend. 🙂 Love your selfie, Diana. ❤

I had a fun summer– it wasn’t as hot as other times and I hate saying goodbye to that weather- lots of biking and swimming. Fall means- colder weather- and time to wear sweaters (all my hand knits)- but not looking forward to snow! Fall also means time to get serious about some work projects!
