Karen, along with her husband, suffered the loss of their 9-year-old son when he was hit by a car. Healing your Grief is a blog about their journey and meant to help others who are also grieving. Karen would want you to know that there are gifts to be found everywhere, even in the darkest of times, so never deny your feelings from being felt and honour them as important stepping-stones to complete healing.

In Karen’s own words:

Practice your stillness each day, become aware of your thoughts coming in and out.  Allow yourself to be sad but more importantly allow yourself to be happy.  It is the gift you can give back to your child who is gone and to those still with you.
