I’ve been so busy!
Seriously! I get up. I exercise. I boot up the old beast of a computer. Pour myself a cup of coffee. Put my head down. And work!
Then I break for lunch. Watch the news. Get on my boots and coat. And power walk through my neighbourhood.
Once home, I plug the kettle in. Make tea. And get back to work. Sometimes work means brainstorming marketing ideas for The Other Bottom Line on my whiteboard.
Sometimes it means writing a fundraising letter for a non-profit organization or building the framework to bring a group through a process to achieve their desired goal.
Sometimes it means interpreting and segmenting data in preparation for future planning.
Make no mistake. I’ve been so busy!
At the end of the day I’m tired. A good tired. You know what I mean? The kind of tired you get when you’ve been doing what you love. When you are living your purpose and following your heart.
Yeah, I’ve been busy. And I’m tired.
And tomorrow I’m going to do it again.
And I can’t wait!

What’s keeping you busy?

How wonderful!! I love that kind of tired, and I found a quote for my updated About page on that. That great kind of tired from doing what we love. Hooray! I’ve been busy with my book, and growing my Pinterest presence on 2 different blogs, and starting a YouTube account and making YouTube videos (will share on my blog once it’s ready). Whew! It’s all awesome and I love it. Thanks for this uplifting article my friend, and may we both stay busy-happy! Yay! xo Gina

Shouldn’t that be re-worded “making” your dream job. Isn’t that what you have done? It didn’t just fall from the sky. It didn’t just happen. You needed to make it happen. I remember some of your previous posts when you were in the should I – shouldn’t I dilemma. You could have easily given up and decided not to go ahead. But you didn’t. You persevered and now you are here in this wonderful place of basking in your ‘happy’.
I wish you all the very best. You deserve it đŸ™‚

I’m looking forward to being busy again. At some point I hope I will get there! Currently developing some awesome pain and numbness in my leg that is becoming a bit crippling. Feeling the bad kind of tired is wearing me out already! I love the tiredness after having worked hard on something challenging and productive during the day. That brings good sleep đŸ™‚

It’s good to be busy. Some days I wonder what I’ve accomplished– a load of laundry, errands, and hopefully exercise as much as possible- trying to lose the added winter pounds– I try to get a blog in, then other projects, seeing family and then there’s travel– all good!

Life sounds good Diana! …. for me I have a slight aversion to busyness and being “busy’. Busyness can sometimes be used to fill our days in insignificant and distracting ways. We get nods of approval and validation when we say we are busy. Some days I am busier than others, but I want every day to be fulfilling.
Maybe we should call them fulfilling or meaningful days instead đŸ™‚
I love Russ’s comment! You are living a purpose filled life Diana!

I’m excited for you! I think we call that a dream job! When I look at that … “Dream job” … It sounds so elusive, so rare. Does it have to be? Or do we just have to do what you did? Take a risk and follow our heart?

Thanks Ian – I sure am loving it!
I was talking to a young woman who thought she would be doing so many things by now and I remembered you encouraging me by saying, “It’s a good idea, don’t give up, sometimes things have to ruminate for a bit.” I passed that on to her because I really believe that when “we” are ready, that’s when it happens!
