Patty  over at Thoughts From an American Woman  is, among other things, a blogger for peace. She shares her stories about her family, the military, and the loss of her husband with courage and with beautiful grace. She is a woman with a deep grounded faith – a faith that has sustained her through difficult times yet still draws words of beauty and encouragement for us in her writing.

In Patty’s own words:

“Those that hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Put God in the center and everything will come together.

This week, I’ve chosen the post below as my Friday Pick.

Patty has accepted a challenge to improve her writing. Her first post speaks eloquently to changing seasons climate-wise and personally.
