A hundred years ago books were the only way to visit exotic places for most people. These days travel has been made much easier with modern transportation. If you don’t have the bucks to travel the world, the web is chock full of travelers sharing their experiences. One of these travelers is Terry  over at Travel Treks and Quests.

In Terry’s own words:

I am an aspiring globe trekker, or you can call me a globe trekker wannabe! I’ve visited only 16 countries, so to acquire the title of “Globe Trekker”, I most certainly have a lot more traveling to do. My travels thus far have taken me primarily to Europe, Mideast, South America, Africa, and the Caribbean. I travel to specific places for specific reasons, usually with some historical significance. All of my trips were interesting and memorable, and some were even adventurous.

This week, I’ve chosen the post below as my Friday Pick.

In this post Terry talks about the souvenirs one can acquire while traveling. This post has an intriguing souvenir along with a quest to hear the stories of others who may have it…
