I think it’s high time for me to share a lighter post!
On July 1st, Canada celebrated its 146th Birthday. In comparison to many countries, Canada is still quite young and she is a beauty! I feel grateful and blessed to be a Canadian.
This year’s celebrations started out in Millennium Park instead of the usual Princess Island Park which hasn’t totally recovered from the recent floods.
Canada Day activities continued on Stephen Avenue Mall and Olympic Plaza with a grand finale of fireworks on the Centre Street Bridge.
I truly meant to check out the fireworks this year but I was just too tired to head back down there. An afternoon in the hot sun, no doubt, played a role in knocking me off my kilter.
I hope you enjoy the photos below. Happy belated Canada Day to all my Canadian readers and a very Happy 4th of July to my American friends tomorrow.

How did you spend Canada Day?
Happy Canada Day again. Who said you can only celebrate in one day? Glad to see the beautiful weather you mentioned. Sounds like the warmth was a bit of a shock to the system. Hope people are recovering well from the flooding and that a bit of sun goes some way to helping. Have a lovely weekend xx

When I was younger it was everywhere… Canada Dry probably decided to boycott us in the earlier years before Mandela got out…

I love summer and I really hate to admit it but… sans AC I am grateful that today is only going to be 21 degrees!

I’m the same way! Hot weather in small doses is all good, but a continuous heat wave is not my cup of tea either – 21 degrees is perfect weather in my books. 🙂
