I don’t know how I came across Five Reflections but he is a Master at Haiku. I had never even heard of Haiku until I started following this blog. I enjoy the rhythm of this poetic style and I know many of you do, or will after you check out Five Reflections!

This week, I’ve chosen the post below as my Friday Pick

In his own words, Five Reflections says:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised on my parents Maryland dairy. The family sold their dairy and moved to the Northwestern wilderness of Maine during the early 1960s. After graduating from high school, I went to school in Oklahoma. I have spent the past 42 years working in the world of engineering and scientist in Southern Maine for international and national corporations. At the moment – International! My wife and I are planning to retire in the Southwestern USA. Looking forward to being surrounded by ancient cultures, mountains, and the high desert. Currently enjoying Scrivener for Mac – character studies, fiction, and poetry…

Haiku 20121002 is one of my favourites because it surprised me – the last line caught me off guard and I liked it!
