I’ve been accused of living on Fantasy Island with rose-coloured glasses on, but I don’t care because I believe! – Diana Schwenk
Well a response actually to this must-read post by newsofthetimes.
I’ve always been an optimist.
I can’t help it.
It’s who I am.
When I was a little girl I fell in love with horses
and pictured riding a thousand times.
I knew I could
I believed I could
I was born to ride.
So when I was about 10 I climbed a farmer’s fence.
I approached a mare and whispered my dream to her.
I grabbed her mane and pulled myself onto her back.
My legs wrapped taut around her sides, her mane twisted up in my hand;
I rode her at a gallop through the field.
She and I were one. I had never felt so alive!
I don’t try to be optimistic. I just am.
I look for good and I find it.
I believe in community where each person adds value.
I’ve pictured it a thousand times,
and I will see it – I was born to live in it.
I JUST KNOW it.
What do you JUST KNOW?

there is something so magnificant about approaching a horse, his head down ears a bit back, as he sniffs your hand… just love it.
